The competition was held within the framework of the VII Congress of the League of Professional Buyers, held in Armenia. Representatives of the twenty largest Russian customer companies, including PJSC MMK, Rusnano, Rostelecom and NPO Energomash, gathered in Yerevan.
The League organizers held such a competition among procurement professionals for the first time. The jury evaluated the presentations of cases of successful procurement activities and methods of their implementation, which not only have a positive effect on customers' budgets, but also have a beneficial effect on the market as a whole: they increase competition and increase the transparency of procurement.
The event program consisted of trainings on building a personal brand of the buyer and an effective team of the purchasing department. Of the many applications, 11 companies were shortlisted. MMK was represented at the competition by Dmitry Kamnev, senior manager of the analytics and management process support group for categorical purchases. PJSC MMK became the winner in the category “Optimization of category purchases using online stores”.
Corporate purchases in the online store is an actively developing area of purchases at PJSC MMK, which significantly reduces the transaction load, significantly speeds up and simplifies the procurement process and saves financial resources. With online stores of complex suppliers, contracts are concluded in advance, under which corporate discounts are provided. Online stores buy hardware, electrical equipment, stationery, household goods, household appliances.
