Metalloinvest's enterprises have successfully confirmed the efficiency of energy management systems and their compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 50001: 2018. The auditors analyzed the work of the main divisions and departments of Metalloinvest's production sites, compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and came to the conclusion that the energy management system of the enterprises meets international standards.
Experts noted that the Company has created all the conditions for maintaining and efficient functioning of the system, including special attention to energy saving and energy efficiency on the part of the Metalloinvest management, as well as the involvement and professionalism of employees.
“The successful implementation of the audit program was made possible thanks to serious preparatory work and well-coordinated interaction between the heads and specialists of the mills and the Department of Energy and Energy Resources of the Company,” said Sergei Shcherbina, Director of the Department of Energy and Energy Resources of Metalloinvest. “As part of this work, the Energy Efficiency Program was approved, the strategic goal of which is to reduce the share of energy costs in the cost of production, guarantee uninterrupted power supply, and ensure the development of production with the required amount of energy resources.”
At all the enterprises of the Company, within the framework of the current integrated management system, quality management systems, occupational health and safety management, and environmental management are also certified.
