Sibkabel JSC (part of the Cable Alliance Holding, which unites the cable assets of UMMC) installed 7 new braiding machines, the productivity of which is 2.5 times higher than that of analogues. Their cost exceeds 100 million rubles.
The equipment is installed in workshop No. 40, where products for rolling stock, control, installation and radio frequency cables are produced. These lines are designed to be screened with copper wires to protect against electrical noise.
“Modern machines have replaced outdated models, half of which were out of order and were used as“ donors ”for repairs. If earlier the cable was screened at a speed of 70 rpm, now it is 175 rpm. The new equipment will make it possible to combine three production operations: the imposition of a screen and two separating layers, previously this was carried out on different machines ", - said Andrey Tikhanovich, a process engineer of Sibkabel JSC.
All parameters for the production of products on the new lines are set automatically. For example, if earlier the braiding step was set by changing special gears, now you just need to enter the necessary data on the control panel. In the event of a blank break or the end of the tape, the equipment automatically stops, thus avoiding rejects.
“The technical modernization program of Sibkabel JSC is designed for several years, allowing the plant to remain the flagship of the cable industry. Shop No. 40 is completely changing its equipment park, last year more than 10 modern machines were installed there. This allows you to increase productivity, meet the growing market requirements for cable structures and improve product quality control, "added Alexey Zhuzhin, director of Sibkabel JSC.
