PJSC Severstal announces the opening of a travel grant competition for the participation of employees of museums in the northern regions in professional events from September to December 2019.
Within the framework of the travel grant competition, the company finances trips of museum specialists to participate in conferences, round tables, seminars, forums and other events on the territory of the Russian Federation related to both professional museum activities and a wide range of general cultural issues.
The events include a conference on the traditional culture of the Russian North "Ryabinin Readings-2019" in Petrozavodsk , "The Fourth School of Museum Development" Beyond the Borders of Capitals "in Totma, the conference" Current Areas of Museum Activity "in Moscow, the conference" Colloquium of Young Restorers ResCo-2019 "in Kazan, the VIII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum other significant events, including professional internships and advanced training courses.
To participate in the competition are invited I state, municipal museums and art galleries, as well as museums of other specialized groups with art collections from the republics of Karelia and Komi, Perm, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kirov, Kostroma, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod and Pskov regions, Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
Participants choose events from the list approved by experts of the "Museums of the Russian North" program, or other profile events to visit and participate in, held in the Russian Federation. Applications will be evaluated by an expert council, which includes museum professionals, specialists in the field of social and cultural design, representatives of Severstal.
The competition documentation is posted on the official website of the Museums of the Russian North program. Acceptance of applications will end on August 1, the results of the competition will become known on August 21.
Also on July 26, the winners of the first stage of the X grant competition of projects "Museums of the Russian North" will be announced, whose project ideas will pass expert selection for further revision within the project laboratory "Done in the museum. ”The laboratory will be held from October 1 to October 4, 2019, the organizers will inform about the location of it additionally. Reputable experts in the field of museum work, socio-cultural design and creative industries, practitioners and experts from the field of art and culture will take part in the laboratory as teachers.
