Tenaris is expanding its Wedge Series 400 ™ portfolio with the addition of the TenarisHydril Wedge 425 ™, an integral semi-flush connection designed to improve efficiency in shale handling.

The TenarisHydril Wedge 425 ™ connection is equipped with a charge indicator to facilitate make-up without the need for a torque and rotation diagram. Its metal-to-metal intermediate seal provides exceptional tightness in gas or liquid production and has been assessed in accordance with Tenaris' multistage fractured horizontal well test protocol in accordance with API TR 5SF for simulating hydraulic fracturing and production loads.
Like other TenarisHydril Wedge threads, the TenarisHydril Wedge 425 ™ design provides nearly double the torque and compression capacity of a traditional semi-wash product, minimizing scrap and re-replacement for faster, more reliable performance.
