The delegation of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) took part in the 32nd Plenary Meeting of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK). The delegation included TMK Deputy General Director for Organizational Development - Director of the Human Resources and Social Policy Directorate Denis Nesterov and General Director of TMK-Kaztrubprom LLP Vladimir Kolesnikov.
The meeting on the topic “Human Capital Development” was held under chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev. Heads of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of large foreign business, Kazakhstani national and private companies discussed the impact of digitalization on the existing structure of jobs, the formation of new approaches to education, as well as the training of technical specialists, taking into account the development of technologies. Separately, the issues of exchange of experience were discussed, including within the framework of participation in WorldSkills events.
In addition, a report was presented on the implementation of the decisions of the 31st Plenary meeting of the FII, recommendations of the FII on the implementation of investment policy, energy, ecology and oil and gas industry, labor legislation, human capital development and attracting foreign labor.
FIC is a unique platform created in 1998 under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ensure direct dialogue between the government of the country and foreign investors. The FIC includes heads of 35 large transnational foreign companies, including TMK, and international organizations.
TMK has been present in Kazakhstan since 2001. Today TMK cooperates with the largest oil companies operating in the country and occupies one of the leading positions in the local pipe market. The key asset of the company in the country is TMK-Kaztrubprom LLP (part of TMK since 2008), specializing in the production of high-tight threaded connections of the premium class on casing and tubing for the oil and gas industry.
