The branch "Production of non-ferrous metal alloys" (PSTSM) of JSC "Uralelectromed" (an enterprise of the metallurgical complex of UMMC) organized a packaging area for lead scrap, which made it possible to reduce the costs of their processing ... The project was implemented as part of the operational transformation of UMMC.
- Previously, packaging was carried out in the raw materials acceptance and processing shop at the main site in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Then the semi-finished product was sent to the Verkhvinskaya site, which increased the production cost. The organization of the new section solved this problem, - explained the head of the technical department of JSC "Uralelectromed" Konstantin Timofeev.
The project was implemented without additional financial costs. The complex of baling equipment (hydraulic press and manipulator) was removed from the storage facilities of the raw materials acceptance and processing shop and moved to the site of the branch. The expected annual economic effect from the implementation of this initiative will amount to 4.25 million rubles.
A new working profession was introduced to work on the equipment in the PSCM branch - a press operator. Now the shop employs 4 presses, who simultaneously undergo theoretical and practical training.
