The development "Method for the production of high-strength cold-resistant low-alloy steel sheet products" was also noted, which received a silver medal. High-strength sheet metal made of low-alloy steel of northern design with increased cold resistance is intended for transport and heavy machine building.
Another silver medal was awarded to the utility model "Passive exoskeleton" by the international jury of the competition. strengthening the physical capabilities of a person and increasing safety when working in conditions of heavy physical labor. Exoskeletons were created at the initiative of the management of PJSC MMK for representatives of the most labor-intensive metallurgical specialties, such as coke oven batteries or blast furnaces. Passive industrial exoskeletons can dramatically reduce the load on the knee, shoulder, hip and elbow joints, lumbar spine, and also significantly increase the productivity of workers.
The created models of exoskeletons have been successfully tested in the existing production site of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and are entering the market today as a commercial product. In 2020, 157 passive exoskeletons were sold. More than 70 successful tests of industrial passive exoskeletons have been carried out at the industrial sites of the largest Russian enterprises.
The MMK Forum was awarded the Bronze Medal for the development of "Method for the production of cold-rolled high-strength rolled products of various strength classes from two-phase ferritic-martensitic steel." Such rolled products can be used in the automotive industry. The use of this production method leads to an increase in plasticity, as well as an expansion of technological possibilities for obtaining from steel the same chemical composition of rolled products of various strength classes.
Following the results of the forum, MMK was also awarded a diploma of "Respect and gratitude" for active participation in organizing and holding the event.
The 24th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies "Archimedes" was held from 23 to 26 March 2021 in Moscow, on the territory of the congress and exhibition complex of the Cosmos hotel. The main goal of organizing and holding the Salon "Archimedes" is to activate inventive, patent-licensing and innovation activities, to develop the market for new products and services. PJSC MMK is a regular participant in this major innovation forum, and Magnitka's developments have won Salon awards more than once.
