On Saturday, April 3, from 11 am to 4 pm, high school students and their parents will be able to familiarize themselves with the work of the first private engineering university in our country. The Technical University of UMMC (TU UMMC) is holding an Open Day.
“We see great interest in us as the youngest university in the region. Applicants and their parents are attracted by modern learning conditions and the fact that the university was created on the basis of a large industrial corporation, ”says Vyacheslav Lapin, director of the UMMC Technical University.
The university trains personnel both for the mining and metallurgical industry, and for mechanical engineering, energy and construction. Upon graduation, all graduates who have received their first higher education at TU UMMC are guaranteed employment.
On the Doors Open Day, guests will make sightseeing tours of the UMMC Technical University, get acquainted with its modern laboratories and classrooms, receive information about admission to the university, areas of training, industrial practices and employment of graduates at UMMC enterprises. Also provided is a visit to the hostel, live communication with students, master classes, theatrical quest, quizzes, interactive stations and prizes.
Due to the epidemiological situation, the number of participants in the Open Day at the Technical University UMMC is limited, so preliminary registration is required, which can be passed on the university website.
Help. The UMMC Technical University was opened in September 2013 for training and retraining of personnel of enterprises of the mining and metallurgical sector of the industry. More than 10 thousand people are trained annually under the programs of additional professional education at TU UMMC (70 percent from UMMC; 30 percent are employees of other industrial companies). More than 330 people in five areas of full-time education and 265 people in correspondence are receiving higher education under the bachelor's and specialty programs at the university. A distinctive feature of the university is the close connection between the educational process and production: many UMMC employees are university teachers, the heads of UMMC organizations are individual mentors of students, the university laboratories are integrated with the research centers of enterprises, and the duration of practical training and internships at TU UMMC is longer than in most technical universities .
