Metalloinvest, the world leader in the production of commercial hot briquetted iron, a leading manufacturer and supplier of iron ore and metallized products, one of the regional producers of high-quality steel, takes part in the international industrial exhibition Innoprom, held from 5 to 7 April in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
General Director of Metalloinvest Nazim Efendiev during the strategic session "World industrial production in the intrigues of growth drivers" said that the development of the world metallurgical industry in the coming decades will be determined by three key global trend - de-globalization, decarbonization and digitalization.
The new challenges of 2020 have amplified these trends. The number of different trade restrictions is growing. The introduction of digital technologies into production has become a prerequisite for the competitiveness of a business.
The need to control greenhouse gas emissions today dictates the direction of the development of the metallurgical industry around the world.
“The production of steel using the electric steelmaking method is growing. CO2 emissions during steel production in electric arc furnaces from HBI /DRI are significantly lower than in classical blast-furnace technology, - said Nazim Efendiyev. - Our company is the world leader in the production of commercial HBI. The new Mikhailovsky HBI plant in the Kursk region with a capacity of over 2 million tons is being designed with the prospect of a complete transition to the use of "green" hydrogen as a reducing agent. This project creates the basis for the development of green metallurgy and the transition of the global industry to environmentally friendly steel production technologies. "
Metalloinvest's exposition at the united stand of the USM holding presents digital solutions that are being implemented at the Company's production sites.
This is a "digital quarry" - a tool for analytical reporting and visualization of a mining enterprise. Neural network for monitoring the wearing of personal protective equipment and hazardous areas. Predictive analytics system for industrial equipment. Labor intensity monitoring using digital bracelets. Mobile maintenance is a hardware and software complex for equipment maintenance and repair. Automated alcohol control system.
The goals of the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan ”are the expansion of industrial cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, the identification of new points of industrial development, the establishment and strengthening of business contacts and the creation of joint ventures.
Representatives of state authorities and 300 large companies from Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, France and other countries take part in Innoprom.
Such industries as metallurgy, mechanical engineering, energy, chemistry, pharmaceutical and medical products are represented.
Within the framework of the exhibition, more than 15 sessions are planned on international cooperation, export, investment and the development of advanced production.
