The Metalloinvest company presented at the All-Russian Forum on Industrial Tourism a project for the organization of industrial tourism at the Mikhailovsky GOK im. A.V. Varicheva. The company plans to open its doors to the first tourists in September 2021.

A visit to the MGOK, which is interesting in itself, will also become part of large tourist routes in the Kursk region, including monuments of military Glory, the house-museum of G.V. Sviridov, A.A. Feta, Kursk Root Hermitage and other attractions. ”
Mikhailovsky GOK has developed travel packages for guests of different ages. During the children's excursion "Iron ore from A to Z", the children will visit the museum of the history of the plant and see the iron ore quarry.
The main route for adults "Ore - the birth of metal" will be complemented by a pelletizing factory, where tourists will learn how to produce pellets and have lunch in the miner's canteen.
The short route "The Heart of the Quarry" will begin at the museum, continue at the observation deck of the quarry, and end at the Chicory Center for Contemporary Art.
In the future, it is planned to master and weekend programs - for children, students and adults, which, in addition to visiting production facilities, will include a tour of Zheleznogorsk.
