In the smelting department of the metallurgical shop of Svyatogor JSC (enterprises of the metallurgical complex of UMMC), the reflex furnace No. 2 is being overhauled. The melting unit was shut down for overhaul on October 1, 2020. Prior to this, the campaign of the unit (turnaround period) was 437 days - about 15 months.
- This is a good result of the main metallurgical equipment, which includes a reverberatory furnace, - said the senior foreman of the smelting department of the metallurgical department of Svyatogor JSC »Vadim Gladkikh. “Now we are building this unit from scratch, which makes each oven unique. At the same time, the caisson gas duct is being repaired. Its main purpose is evacuation, purification and cooling of gases of reflective melting.
After shutdown for almost two months, the furnace was on cooling. Then the refractory masonry was disassembled, crushing and removal of crust was carried out.
In parallel, the specialists of the metallurgical shop, together with colleagues from the repair and mechanical plant of the enterprise, assessed the condition of the units and metal structures of the reflective furnace No. 2, determined the list of overhaul measures unit. It is worth noting that the necessary metal structures were manufactured by the Svyatogora repair and mechanical plant.
Representatives of the road transport department, instrumentation and automation department were also involved in the overhaul process.
The next stage refractory masonry walls and a pharmacy became. At present, these works are carried out by specialists of Uraldomnaremont-Holding LLC (Pervouralsk).
- These works are being carried out in parallel with the laying of water-cooled elements, - explained Vadim Nikolaevich, - then the turn of the furnace roof will come. p>
In total, more than 1,000 tons of PKhSU refractory bricks will be required for the construction of the new melting unit.
According to the plans, the commissioning of the reverberatory furnace No. 2 is scheduled for the 4th quarter of this year. The total costs of Svyatogor JSC for the overhaul of the reverberatory furnace No. 2 and the caisson gas duct are foreseen in the amount of about 108 million rubles. In the first half of the year, 38 million have already been disbursed.
