Panoramic windows became a prerequisite for the appearance of fundamentally new types of heating devices. Taking up most of the wall, they made it impossible to install classic heating radiators. Carrera floor convectors are hidden in thickness floor, but at the same time play the role of a full-fledged heating device. But, can they be installed in any type of room?
Simple and compact solution
The heater really takes up relatively little space. But, nevertheless, it is optimal if the installation of the metal box takes place even at the stage of pouring the concrete floor. This will greatly facilitate the connection. In this case, an electric heating element and a fan will pump warm air no worse than a conventional water radiator. Alternative solutions include a floor convector with a water-cooled radiator. For editing to be possible, several questions need to be clarified:
- Does the building structure allow for partial resolution of the concrete floor.
- Installing the convector in a parquet base.
- Ability to connect to an existing pipeline.
- Whether the water boiler or the electrical network can support the load.
Important: the floor convector cannot be connected to a standard centralized hot water heating. An overly complex piping system will prevent the normal flow of hot water. The convectors will stay cold and will not heat up the air.

For new buildings, the installation of alternative heating devices is not difficult, especially if an individual boiler is installed in the apartment. For older apartments a special permit is required. Ideal solutions for underfloor heating are:
- country houses;
- any type of office space;
- modern apartments in monolithic buildings.
An interesting design solution is the installation of a convector in a classic window sill. This can really be a good solution if there is no other way to install an alternative method of floor heating.
