Japanese power equipment company Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) will supply the latest M701S (DA) X steam and gas turbines and generators to the Chinese steel company Maanshan Iron & Steel Company.

Equipment will be required to create a combined cycle power plant (ECC) with an output of 180 MW. Installation of facilities will begin in 2020

In addition to the listed products, MHPS will also provide auxiliary devices: compressors, innovative electrostatic precipitators, turbo reducers. The aforementioned companies maintain close relations, and in 2007, gas turbines were already imported to China from Japan to build the first power plant of this type.

The global community is demanding that China reduce its carbon emissions, and gas turbine power plants solve this problem while supplying the industry with a valuable source of energy. Mitsubishi Group controls 60% of the market for ECC installations, constantly offering new products to different countries.
