The project provided for the reconstruction of the mold to eliminate obsolete and unnecessary functions and launch new technological processes. The goal of the modernization, which the enterprise set for itself, is to improve the quality of products by increasing its flexibility and reducing the number of metal rushes. The production process is carried out in a fully automated mode. The innovations provide for the possibility of further improving the production.
Three new technological processes have been introduced in production thanks to the modernization carried out by Primetals Technologies. Now it is possible, using the DynaWidth hydraulic unit, to accurately regulate the width of the rolled stock both during heats and between them. The system of preventing sagging Mold Expert was introduced. During the casting process, the condition of the mold is continuously monitored. The system has a new generator that monitors vibrations and provides flexible adjustment in order to obtain a high-quality rolled surface.
The project was developed by Primetals Technologies. She also advised the company's specialists during the installation of the installation and its commissioning.
