The marketing ploy will explain to iPhone buyers why they will have to overpay at least $ 200.

Apple decided to raise the price of the iPhone 15 Ultra by replacing stainless steel with titanium

A key feature of the next iPhone 15 Ultra is the use of titanium in the case. Titanium is known for its strength and durability, being 3-4 times stronger than stainless steel.

However, it is also much more expensive: the current price is $35-50 per kilo compared to $1-1.50 per kilo for stainless steel.

It remains to be seen whether the use of titanium in the iPhone 15 Ultra will justify the increased cost for consumers, but the rest of the characteristics of Apple's new smartphone are clearly up to par.

According to a recent leak in the media, the iPhone 15 Ultra will ship with a minimum of 256GB of storage, double the current entry point of 128GB. This will likely be a welcome addition for consumers as large storage capacity is always in high demand.

The iPhone 15 Ultra is also rumored to feature dual front cameras and a USB-C port with Thunderbolt 4 speed, replacing the slower Lightning port.

In recent years, Apple has experienced declining margins, and now the company is trying to raise prices to make up for these losses. Higher prices can easily be attributed to rising production costs, the need to maintain margins, and the use of better materials such as titanium.

As a result of Apple's marketing efforts, the base price of the new iPhone 15 Ultra will be $1,299, which significantly higher than the iPhone 14 Pro Max starting price of $1,099.
