Tesla's Shanghai plant in east China delivered 100,291 vehicles in November this year, hitting a new monthly high.
"From January to November 2022, Tesla's Shanghai plant delivered more 650,000 vehicles, far exceeding the 2021 figure of 484,130 units,” Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the China Passenger Car Association, was quoted by Xinhua News Agency.
Annual sales of the Shanghai gigafactory are expected to Tesla will reach 750,000 units in 2022, he added.
The localization rate of Tesla's Shanghai gigafactory production chain has exceeded 95 percent, helping China's new energy vehicle industry to develop a world-leading integrated industrial structure and reliable consumer potential, said Tesla Vice President Tao Lin.
From January to November of this year, new energy vehicle sales in China exceeded 5.7 million units, and domestic sales of such vehicles are expected to exceed 6.5 million units this year, Cui Dongshu said.
