On May 6, 2026, Spirit AI and Bosch China entered into a strategic partnership agreement to accelerate the commercialization of a universal "robotic brain" in an environment where Embodied intelligence is approaching large-scale industrial adoption, Gasgoo reports. The collaboration will focus on robot data collection and model training, industrial applications, and the supply of essential components.
Founded in 2024, Spirit AI has developed the embodied large Spirit v1. 5 model, which, according to it, has surpassed the international benchmark Pi0. 5 and reached a world-leading level. Bosch China will provide its expertise in drives, sensors, industrial automation, and intelligent manufacturing, as well as its powerful ecosystem of research and development, manufacturing, and supply chain in China. Over the next two years, Bosch's factories and logistics centers in China will be used to collect real-world data and train models, creating a technical cycle linking real-world data, embodied models, and real-world scenarios, while ensuring data quality and security. Bosch will also provide key components for robots to support product development, engineering validation, and mass production.
This partnership provides Spirit AI with an industrial proving ground in the automotive and production logistics fields, facilitating faster adoption of next-generation humanoid robots and agents, as well as advancing human-machine collaboration and industrial modernization.
