The German company ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt, a subsidiary of the global steel producer ArcelorMittal with headquarters in Luxembourg, announced the annual scheduled maintenance work on the blast furnace 5A. The repair phase will begin on June 22, 2025, with the blast furnace shutting down for several hours. The blast furnace is expected to be put into operation on June 27-28, 2025.
The company also reported that dust and noise emissions may occur near production facilities during the shutdown and start-up stages of the blast furnace.
