The beginning of the last month in the EU quotas for the period from July 1 to September 30, some import quotas for selected steel products allocated to countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, Egypt, China and several other countries have already been exhausted, according to the latest data from the European Commission. Turkey's quota for the production of HRC (1A) in the amount of 402,732 thousand tons has been used by 99.98%, leaving only 2,740 thousand tons.
In addition, Turkey, Vietnam and Japan have exhausted their quotas of 21,207 thousand tons for the production of metal-coated sheets (4B) allocated in the "other countries" section.

If we look at other exhausted quotas, Taiwan has used up its entire quota of 113,428,000 tons for metal-coated sheets (4A), while it has exceeded its quota of 23,037,000 tons for organic-coated sheets, with 2,178,000 tons awaiting receipt. customs clearance. China has exhausted its quota of 141,949 tons for the supply of long products and light profiles and its quota of 17,563 tons for the supply of fittings, allocated in the "other countries" section. South Korea has used up its entire quota of 71,880 tons for the production of organically coated sheets, while Egypt has exhausted its quota of 15,255 tons for wire rod production, allocated in the "other countries" section.
