The European Confederation of Waste Recycling Enterprises (EuRIC) has announced an official rebranding under the name Recycling Europe, marking a strategic evolution in its mission to represent the European waste recycling sector with a unified voice as Europe faces growing trade tensions, shortages of raw materials and the urgent need for industrial decarbonization.
The rebranding reflects the organization's goal to increase awareness and influence on European and international platforms, strengthening the role of waste processors as key participants in achieving EU goals in the areas of climate, resource autonomy and the closed-loop economy.
Julia Ettinger, Secretary and CEO, said: "Recycling Europe embodies the Confederation's evolution into a unified, future-oriented voice for processors across the continent. Despite the fact that our name has changed, our mission remains the same: to ensure that processors are recognized and empowered as indispensable partners in building a closed and sustainable European economy."
Recycling Europe will continue to represent processors in all areas of production – metals, plastics, paper, textiles, tires, and more – while promoting policies that promote innovation, investment, and open markets.
