CS WIND Portugal strengthens its role in the global wind energy industry and announces its intention to join EUROMETAL

CSWind, the world's largest manufacturer of wind towers and a leading manufacturer of foundations for offshore structures, is strengthening its global presence with CS WIND Portugal, one of the region's most significant industrial enterprises and an important contributor to the European economy.

The onshore plant in Severo do Vuga, which has been operating in Portugal for more than two decades, produces most of the onshore wind towers and exports more than 700 tower sections to European markets annually. Located in the port of Aveiro, the Gafanya da Nazare Marine plant has been specializing in the production of offshore towers since 2019 and is currently the largest supplier of offshore towers to the US market and the most productive in the EU.

CS WIND, with approximately 1,000 employees in Portugal, strives to supply high-quality, large-size and heavy-duty steel structures with excellent customer service based on responsibility, efficiency and continuous innovation. Deep industrial know‑how and full vertical integration ensure productivity, speed and reliability for the world's most demanding renewable energy projects.

With the support of the global CSWind Group of companies, strong technological leadership and a well-established reputation in the wind energy value chain, CS WIND Portugal acts as a reliable partner in global energy transformation, playing a vital role in ensuring the global spread of sustainable energy solutions.

In order to further strengthen cooperation across the entire European steel industry value chain, CS WIND Portugal announces its intention to join EUROMETAL, supporting the industry's shared goals of sustainability, competitiveness and innovation. Through this membership, we aim to bring together industry representatives to promote pragmatic changes to European import regulations concerning steel and its derivatives. We will actively promote policy dialogue that promotes fair competition, sustainable supply chains, and a market environment that accelerates investment and job creation in the energy transition ecosystem.
