The German company Kloeckner Metals has started operating a new roller leveling machine at its service center in Kassel-Kaufungen, Kallanisch, the distribution group reports.
The new equipment provides high-precision correction, ensures the evenness of sheets from 2 mm to 45 mm thick, 2000 mm wide and 6000 mm long. According to the company's representatives, the roller leveler is complemented by a flatness measurement system that allows for repeatable results with minimal tolerances.
Along with the opening of a new production facility, the company announces the receipt of a TL certificate for cold stamping from the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr).
The Kassel-Kaufungen plant specializes in the production of high-strength, wear-resistant and ballistic steels and is one of the most modernly equipped enterprises of the group. Together with plants in Bremen, Felten, Landsberg, Cologne and Duisburg, it forms a network of production systems for recycling, the company notes.
