As the company informed Kallanish, Kloeckner Metals Germany has started operating an end-processing machine at its plant in Felten, Brandenburg.
The new MT-100-X machine from Sema Technology engineering company is designed for manufacturers of drives and transmissions, mechanical engineering and pipe processing.
It is one of the largest devices of its kind for processing steel, stainless steel and aluminum," says Kloeckner. It produces parts with a diameter of 25 to 300 mm, a length of 119 to 1750 mm and a weight of up to 750 kg.
Kloeckner says it is developing its Felten plant as a competence center providing comprehensive value-added services to customers throughout Germany. This end-processing device is an addition to the existing line of equipment designed for machining and cutting.
Last year, Velten added the TruLaser Tube 5000 laser system, supplied by Trumpf.
