Sulzle adds another regional rebar bending machine

The German valve distribution group Sulzle Stahlpartner has once again expanded its network of businesses by acquiring Eisen Grader in Weiden, near the Czech border.

The company's existing portfolio of services, including the production of reinforcing steel, bending of structural steels and drilling piles, will be fully transferred to Kallanish, Sulzle reports. The Eisen Grader team will also remain in place under the leadership of Christian Dobmann as branch manager, Zützle notes.

With the establishment of a new facility in Weiden, Sulzle is strengthening its presence in the northern Bavarian regions of Oberpfalz, Middle Franconia and Upper Franconia. The Group is also expanding its drilling pile production facilities, and now has a second site near Dessau-Rosslau in Saxony-Anhalt. Currently, Sulzle Stahlpartner owns 15 sites throughout Germany, mainly in the southwest.

In June, Sulzle announced its participation in the expansion of the Werma Signaltechnik plant, which deals with signal transmission technologies, in Ritheim-Weilheim, in southwestern Germany. The main branch of Sulzle Stahlpartner in Rosenfeld will supply 550 tons of rebar and 90 tons of wire mesh for the project in cooperation with the construction company Decker.
