Sulzle Stahlpartner has announced the acquisition of another regional manufacturer and distributor, Joseph Fien GmbH in Bad Zeckingen, Baden—Württemberg, in southwestern Germany.
Joseph Fien has been a steel distributor and has been engaged in flexible steel since 1978, serving, in particular, the Swiss market, as well as the surrounding regions of France, notes Callanish.
According to Sulzle, in addition to classical reinforcing steel, the company is one of the leading suppliers of stainless steel fittings in Germany. This highlights that Joseph Fien is the only German stainless steel bending products company that supplies all materials approved by construction authorities to serve customers nationwide.
Stainless steel fittings are used wherever moisture contaminated with chlorides can affect load-bearing or sensitive components. This can occur during the construction of tunnels and basements, the repair of parking lots, floors and underground parking, as well as in special buildings such as hospitals, engine rooms and control rooms.
"With Bad Zeckingen, we are entering a region with great market potential and recruiting an experienced team that shares our values. At the same time, we are expanding our portfolio in the field of stainless steel fittings and thus opening up new market opportunities," says Heinrich Sulzle, Managing Partner of the Sulzle Group.
Sulzle currently owns 19 companies with about 1,000 employees in more than 30 branches in Germany and France, mainly engaged in the production of rebar products.
