Wallenberg Investments takes control of Stegra

As Callanish became aware, after a recent round of financing that brought the Swedish Stegra project 1.4 billion euros ($1.6 billion), the company has reshuffled its board of directors and corporate structure.

Wallenberg Investments, which led the consortium in the last round of financing, will take a leading position in the company.

The new holding company Stegra Holding AB, owned by investors as part of the new financing round, now owns more than 90% of the shares and votes of the steel mill.

The Board of Directors of Stegra Holding AB is currently headed by Leif Johansson from Wallenberg Investments. He replaced Shaun Kingsbury from Just Climate, who headed the board of directors of Stegra for almost two years and remains on it to this day.

Other Wallenberg representatives on the board of directors are Håkan Boucher, Astrid Skarheim Onsum and Erika Söderberg Jonsson. Other stakeholders include Paal Weberg and Karin Radstrom from Altor, as well as Pierre-Etienne Franck from Hy24.

Henrik Henriksson will continue to serve as CEO of Stegra.

The company that owns the investments made prior to the start of the financing round has been renamed from Stegra AB to Green Nexus Investment Holding AB. After completing a new round of financing, she became a minority shareholder of Stegra.
