In July, Chinese steel companies exported 6.671 million tons of steel, which is 0.886 million tons or 11.7% less than the previous month, but up 17.7% year-on-year.
During January-July 2022, China exported 40.073 million tons of steel. The decrease in indicators compared to the same period last year amounted to 6.9%.
China's steel imports in July amounted to 0.789 million tons, down 2,000 tons from June and up 24.9% year-on-year. For 7 months, deliveries of products of foreign metallurgical enterprises to China decreased by 21.9% to 6.559 million tons.
