MEPS stainless steel market experts will share their insights and discuss new research projects at Stainless Steel World Americas 2026.
Michelle Kirton, Senior Stainless Steel Market Analyst, and Kay Ayyub, Head of Price Analysis and Forecasting, will attend the event, which takes place November 9–10 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
Kirton and Ayyub will tell attendees about MEPS research and forecasts for the stainless steel market. The price analysis specialists are also interested in building new research contacts with industry representatives in the US.
“US trade measures continue to reshape stainless steel supply chains, while investment in industries such as energy, defense and data centers is supporting demand. This makes the US market particularly interesting to study right now,” Kirton said.
“I’m looking forward to hearing first-hand how stainless steel producers, distributors and buyers in the US are responding to these changes, discussing their expectations for 2027 and connecting with current and new industry colleagues.”
MEPS has been providing steel price analysis to market participants since 1979. The company gathers data through regular contact with trusted industry representatives and builds an independent picture of steel markets around the world.
In its monthly Stainless Steel Report, the company publishes US stainless steel prices, price indices, market reviews and 12-month steel price forecasts.
In a recent episode of the Speaking of Steel podcast, MEPS announced that it will launch a new platform, MEPS 360, in December. Subscribers will be able to access all this steel price analysis through a customizable online dashboard.
Attendees at Stainless Steel World Americas 2026 who would like to meet with Kirton or Ayyub and learn more about MEPS can contact the company to arrange a time.
