An unscheduled control measure of the Central Mining and Processing Plant PJSC (CGOK) of the Metinvest mining and metallurgical holding of Rinat Akhmetov is being carried out on behalf of Prime Minister Denis Shmygal within the framework of inspections of Ukrainian water users. This was reported by the press service of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.
In Kryvyi Rih, such enterprises include those that discharge mine water, including PJSC "TsGOK", the inspectorate explained.
During the inspection, the inspectors will focus on whether the enterprise is taking measures to reduce the amount of pollutants in mine waters before they enter the rates - the Svistunova Balka storage tank.
The Central Mining and Processing Plant specializes in the extraction, processing and production of raw materials for the metallurgical industry - iron ore concentrate and pellets. Central GOK is a unique enterprise in Ukraine that combines open pit and underground mining of magnetite quartzite, followed by enrichment.
