Stainless steel's shareholder Dacapo is planning to build a new 7,200 m2 warehouse at its headquarters in Silkeborg, Denmark. According to Kallanish, the new warehouse is expected to open soon after the summer holidays.
The company currently operates one warehouse for rolled products, pipes and rods in Silkeborg and another warehouse for fittings in Helmond, the Netherlands.
In 2025, Dacapo increased its revenue by 9% to 1.57 billion Danish crowns ($240 million) and generated a positive net profit of 32 million Danish crowns, three times more than in 2024. It notes that 2026 started better than it ended in 2025, and is expected to be as successful as 2021-2022.
The company considers availability as one of its key strategies and has significantly increased its inventory in 2025. "While the industry often seeks to reduce inventories by the end of the year, we have gone the other way. In fact, we entered 2026 with the highest inventory levels ever," says Christian Sylveste, Managing Director. "Customers don't have time to buy a little here and a little there. They want everything to be in one truck," he notes.
At the same time, Dacapo has created 15 new positions for sales staff in its countries of operation. The company's sales offices are located in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Slovakia, Poland and France.
In the future, Dacapo will focus on fewer customers and stop working with 25% of the least profitable customers. In the future, meetings will be held with a specific agenda and common goals to discuss.
"It takes longer to prepare for this kind of intellectual sales than for meetings over a cup of coffee. As a result, more time is spent on fewer customers, which leads to these customers buying more," explains Sylveste.
