INTERPIPE has a long history of developing premium and semi-premium threaded connections for seamless pipes, specializing in solutions for difficult geological conditions. The new compound was developed specifically for the U.
S. oil and gas sector and adapted for use in horizontal wells in shale fields.
INTREPID-SP HT is an efficient solution compatible with the standard API Buttress thread, so it does not require additional accessories for operation. The compound has passed a fatigue test of up to 100,000 cycles and has been qualified in accordance with the Shale Test Protocol, which is generally recognized for the oil and gas industry.
The design is designed for casing pipes with diameters from 114.3 to 339.7 mm. The high torque of the joint simplifies the screwing up of the pipe column and increases the speed of pipe descent into the well. The optimized joint shape increases the structural stability of the column, and provides improved sealing and load distribution.
