This became known during the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to the production sites of the Petrostal Metallurgical Plant and NPO Laboratory of Special Steels and Alloys.

Over the past year, more than 193 million rubles have been allocated for modernization to Petrostal and 15 million rubles to NGOs. With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, both companies are engaged in research and development to create high-tech products.

Petrostal Metallurgical Plant is developing a new steel grade for the production of mechanisms for oilfield service companies, with a project budget of 235 million rubles, of which 150 million are federal budget funds.

The NGO Laboratory of Special Steels and Alloys is working on a steel grade for medical endoprostheses, with a total budget of 168 million rubles, of which 110 million is from the federal budget.

Both projects are in the second stage of implementation and are scheduled to be completed in 2026.
