The company is currently being retrofitted with new equipment and is preparing to open a steelmaking workshop in order to increase the share of special steel production, including to expand supplies to companies in the aviation and helicopter industry, said Vasily Khokhlov, CEO of the company.

According to him, the cost of special stamps is "ten times higher than carbon stamps." The company has already signed an agreement with the United Engine Corporation, and plans to expand to other manufacturers and become an exclusive supplier in this area.

Khokhlov added that during the modernization of the enterprise, the volume of steel output will remain at the same level – about 8000 tons per month. The plant is currently producing about 150 grades of steel that have not been produced before. According to the company, if only 44 grades of steel were produced in 2021, 79 in 2022, and 120 in 2023.

Currently, the company's order book for special steel is about 4%, and by 2030 this share is planned to increase to 10% by reducing the production of cheaper brands. If current production volumes are maintained, the output of special steel will reach about 10,000 tons per year, Vasily Khokhlov said.

"Many enterprises can produce carbon steel grades: "Mechel", Izhorsky zavod, "Severstal", etc. Plus, metallurgists from new regions are actively involved, but these products are simple and in demand in the construction industry. Our task is to produce new steel grades in order to increase the marginality of our products."

Svetlana Shmeleva, Deputy Sales Director, clarified that in 2026-2027, as part of the modernization of production, it is planned to commission thermal furnaces for annealing, tempering and normalizing steel, in 2026 – heating equipment with cells for four to six ingots, in 2027 - a small–grade rolling mill with a capacity of up to 2500 tons per month, in 2029 G. – forging and pressing complex, in 2028-2029 - drawing equipment for calibrating rods and producing wire, and in 2030 – a machine for semi–continuous casting of blanks to produce blanks of a certain cross-section.
