Capital expenditures for the current year amount to 9.4 billion rubles, of which 7.8 billion rubles are spent on maintaining the company's core business and 1.6 billion rubles are small - these are investment projects that we are just finishing, Oleg Korzhov, the company's CEO, told reporters.

One of these projects is the completion of the construction of an air separation plant at the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant with a total cost of about 10 billion rubles, he said.

In 2024, Mechel's capex amounted to 18 billion rubles, having decreased by a quarter by 2023.

At the end of June 2025, the company's shareholders decided not to pay dividends on all categories of shares of PJSC Mechel due to the company's loss based on the results of 2024.
