The SA-387 Gr22 Cl2 brand is designed for the manufacture of equipment for the petrochemical, chemical and energy industries — boiler equipment, coke chambers and pressure vessels operated at elevated temperatures up to 600 °C.

SA-387 Gr22 Cl2 grade steel is an alloyed chromium-molybdenum steel with high strength and heat-resistant characteristics, which reduces the metal consumption of structures by 15-30% compared to steels of earlier generations, primarily with the 10X2M grade. SA-387 Gr22 Cl2 is easy to weld, meets current international standards and is suitable for use in high temperatures and high pressure.
The steel was created by Severstal's experts in developing new products and advanced engineering, taking into account specific industry requirements and in constant dialogue with industrial customers.
The production of rolled metal products was mastered at mill 2800 in Cherepovets with a sheet thickness of 8 to 46 mm, as well as with a thickness of up to 110 mm at mill 5000 of the Kolpino pipe rolling workshop of the Severstal production site. As a result, for the first time, the Russian market received steel with such characteristics and a range of sizes.
The first batch of products has already been delivered to Severstal's strategic partner Volgogradneftemash, which allowed the plant to abandon the purchase of imported steel and ensure the production of equipment based on modern Russian materials.
