The company supplied 1,800 tons for the construction of a lithium-ion battery plant in the city of Neman. Launched on December 15, 2025, the facility will become the largest domestic enterprise in the field of energy storage.

The order included several objects: a building frame, utility overpasses, a finished goods warehouse, a half-timbered building and built-in rooms. 3 plants of the company's partner in the Evraz Steel ecosystem participated in the production of metal structures.

A special feature of the project was the unique logistics: the metal structures were delivered by sea through the port of St. Petersburg using trucks and trailers on ferries, which allowed optimizing the time and reducing the risks of damage during transportation. The full journey from the factory to the site took only 10-14 calendar days: shipment of metal structures from the factories, loading of transport onto a ferry in the port of St. Petersburg, delivery to Kaliningrad by sea, unloading and transportation to the construction site in the Neman.

Containers with an awning top, providing overhead loading, and awning trucks adapted for sea transportation were used for transportation. Evraz Steel Building has developed 102 individual packaging and loading schemes, which made it possible to maximize the use of container volume and ensure cargo safety. Of these, 50 schemes provided for the weight of structures over 20 tons, and 38 — over 22 tons. Special marine boxes were made for small mounting parts.

The new production facility will meet the needs of electric vehicle manufacturers in traction lithium-ion batteries, and will also produce stationary energy storage systems for the electric grid complex and industrial enterprises. The capacity of the gigafactory will be 4 GWh per year. Such a production figure will be enough to provide traction batteries for about 50 thousand electric vehicles per year.
