The updated unit in the metal coating workshop No. 1 of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Combine will ensure stable production of high-quality galvanized products during the large-scale reconstruction of the continuous hot-dip aluminizing unit.

ANGC is one of the key lines of the CherMK technological chain. In continuous operation, the unit applies a zinc coating to the steel strip, which greatly increases the corrosion resistance of the metal and the service life of the finished products.

"ANGC is one of the most modern not only in Russia, but also in the world and is focused on mass production of products for the construction industry, as well as for the manufacture of household appliances. In 2025, the production volume amounted to 325 thousand tons of galvanized sheet. Today, one of the key tasks that the overhaul is responsible for is to fully provide customers with high–quality galvanized rolled products during the large-scale reconstruction of the ANGA. For this purpose, during the repair, critical components were replaced for the first time, which directly affect product quality and unit performance.", –
Severstal's own divisions, as well as contractors from Cherepovets and the Vologda Region, were involved in the repair work.
