AVTOVAZ canceled the order dated June 10, 2020 on the introduction of an incomplete 4-day working week from August 31. This is due to the provision of the enterprise with orders for new cars for the coming months of this year within the framework of advanced public procurement programs adopted at the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and by the decision of the President of Russia, the growth of corporate sales, as well as the beginning of the recovery in demand in the automotive market.
The company notes the existing uncertainty regarding the total sales in 2020 and the development of the automotive market in 2021. The company continues to carefully analyze various forecasts for the development of the market until the end of the year and in 2021, as well as take all measures to maintain the production load for a full working week. This is only possible if the current level of demand for cars is maintained.
