ArcelorMittal announced the suspension of steel production in Ukraine to a technological minimum

The largest metallurgical enterprise in Ukraine will suspend production to a technological minimum. This is stated in the statement of the parent company ArcelorMittal published in its twitter account.

“Regarding our plant, our team is working to slow down production to a technical minimum and production will be stopped at our underground mines. We all hope for a speedy resolution,” the statement said.

Earlier today, the press service of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih reported that the plant continues to operate, and its department heads have an action plan, clear tasks and an understanding of what needs to be done.

They reminded that in the event of an alarm, plant workers need to de-energize the electrical equipment, take documents with them and move to the gathering place, or to the nearest shelter.
