At the end of this year OHTSU has already signed interconnection agreements with operators of GTS Hungary, Romania, Poland, Moldova and Russia.
OHTSU notes that the informed cooperation of the Ukrainian operator GTS with adjacent operators blocked a long-term contract between NAK "Naftogaz Ukraine" and Russian "Gazprom", which ends January 1, 2020.
the Final round of gas talks started on December 26. The four-day negotiations "Naftogaz" and "Gazprom" signed a new five-year contract on gas transit. According to the Ukrainian side, during those five years, the transit will bring Ukraine from 7 to 15 billion dollars depending on delivery volumes.
In the European Union have called the new agreement an important signal to guarantee European gas security.
