New combined road vehicles (KDM) based on KrAZ-65055 have been sent to the regional branches of Ukravtodor, in particular to Kiev, Rovno, Odessa and Kherson. According to the company, the new machines will be used in winter for sprinkling with friction materials (salt spreading equipment operates on three components, it is also possible to use brine, which is economically beneficial), and in the warm season - as dump trucks for transporting bulk cargo of various types.
New CDMs are equipped with a dump and salt-spreading equipment for precise dosing by SHMIDT.
“The equipment is excellent, it uses stainless steel, which is the key to its long-term operation. All work can be controlled from the cab, the driver, being warm in winter, can regulate, for example, the width of the spreading, the amount of material per 1 square meter, "commented V. Technical parameters of KrAZ-65055:
- engine capacity - 380 hp s., type - diesel;
- 6 × 4 wheel arrangement, braking system with ABS;
- cab - all-metal, three-seater, with an additional heater, with seat belts, integral steering gear;
- there is a winter package: heating of fuel filters; air dryer in the brake system;
- dump body with a volume of 12 m 3 , unloading type - backward, carrying capacity - 16 tons.
