Statistics of Ukrainian exports of ferrous metals continued to deteriorate in 2023 after falling by 67.5% in 2022.

Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in 2023 reduced revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 41.59% compared to 2022 - to 2 billion 647.722 million US dollars.

According to statistics published by the State Customs Service of Ukraine on ferrous metals during this period accounted for 7% of total receipts from the export of goods, while in 2022 the share was 10.26%.

In December, receipts from the export of ferrous metals amounted to $214.531 million, while while in the previous month - $174.380 million.

In addition, it is reported that Ukraine in 2023 increased imports of ferrous metallurgy products by 37% - to $1 billion 307.046 million dollars. In December alone, $107.367 million worth of such products were imported.

Recall that last year Ukraine reduced the export of hardware by 16.6% compared to the previous year - to $877.916 million.

As reported, metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in 2022 reduced revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 67.5% compared to 2021 - to 4 billion 533.088 million dollars. Ferrous metals during this period accounted for 10.26% of the total volume of goods received versus 20.49% for 2021.
