Zaporizhstal General Director Rostislav Shurma wrote to his page on Facebook, which has been working at the plant for the last weeks.

“The time for change has come for me too: I have been putting on the overalls of my native Zaporizhstal, which has long become my own, for the last weeks. On November 25, a shareholders meeting will take place, at which I will transfer all management rights and responsibility for the plant to my colleague, Alexander Mironenko, ”said Shurma.

He said that his next job will not be associated with Metinvest: “a completely new stage of my business life begins, which I plan to fully devote to my own projects.”

Shurma headed Zaporizhstal in 2012, when the enterprise came under the control of Rinat Akhmetov's Metinvest group.

PJSC "Zaporizhstal" is a full-cycle metallurgical enterprise, which occupies a leading position in the production of steel in Ukraine, the volume of export of metal products to more than 50 countries of the world, as well as tax deductions.

From January to September 2019, the metallurgical plant produced 3219.5 thousand tons of pig iron, 3031.9 thousand tons of steel, 2540.9 thousand tons of rolled products.
