The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made changes to the process of preparing and holding auctions for obtaining special permits for the use of subsoil.
The project provides for the liquidation of the commission on subsoil use under the State Geo-Mineral Resources, the existence of which is not provided for by the Code of Ukraine on Subsoil, the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine reported.
The Ministry of Energy said that the draft resolution "On Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 848 dated October 17, 2018" refers to a new improved temporary procedure for the implementation of an experimental project to implement auctions for the sale of special permits for the use of subsoil by electronic bidding.
The Subsoil Use Commission was established in July 2016 and resolved issues on the preliminary consideration of applications submitted by business entities to obtain permits without holding auctions; resolved issues on granting and canceling permits; coordinated projects of permits; considered other issues arising in the process of processing documents related to subsoil use issues.
