According to statistics, ferrous metals for January-September 2024 accounted for 7.78% of the total revenues from Ukrainian exports of goods versus 7.66% for January-September 2023.

Ukraine in January-September of this year increased the export of semi-finished carbon steel in physical terms by 65.5% compared to the same period last year - up to 1 million 529.919 thousand tons. In monetary terms, metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in January-September increased revenues from the export of ferrous metals by 15.4% compared to the same period last year - up to 2 billion 399.675 million dollars.

According to statistics released by the State customs service (VMS) on Tuesday, in monetary terms, exports of semi-finished carbon steel products increased by 59.1% - to $758.627 million. The main exports were carried out to Bulgaria (31.05% of supplies in monetary terms), Egypt (20.80%) and Turkey (10.08%).

As reported, Ukraine in 2023 reduced the export of semi-finished carbon steel in physical terms by 36.7% compared to 2022 - to 1 million 203.454 thousand tons , exports in monetary terms decreased by 48.9%, to $608.516 million. The main exports were carried out to Bulgaria (36.66% of supplies in monetary terms), Poland (23.01%) and Italy (9.60%).
