Ukraine in January-March of current year has increased export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in physical terms by 12.3% compared to the same period last year - up to 2 million 54,008 thousand tons.
According to statistics released by the State customs service (GTS), for a specified period the export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in monetary terms increased by 0.4% to 768,312 million dollars. The main export was carried out in Italy (26,29% of deliveries in money terms), Turkey (19.25 per cent) and Saudi Arabia (9,94%).
in addition, Ukraine in the first quarter of 2020 imported 4,364 thousand tons of such products, which is 69.3 per cent less than in the same period of 2019. In monetary terms, imports fell by 77.9% to 1,846 million dollars. Imports were from Russia (99,46% of supplies) and China (0,54%).
As reported, Ukraine in 2019 increased export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in volume terms by 12% compared to the year 2018 - up to 7 million 47,277 thousand tons, in monetary terms, exports of semi-finished products made of carbon steel decreased by 4.8% - up to 2 billion 860,106 million dollars.
the Main export was carried out in Italy (31.87 percent of supply in money terms), Egypt (13,63%) and Turkey (8,41%). Ukraine last year imported 40,392 thousand tons of this product, which is 7.9% less than in 2018. In monetary terms, imports fell by 12.9% to 22,995 million dollars.
Imports were from Russia (99,53% of supplies) and China (0.47 percent).
