Ukraine increased export of semi-finished products from carbon steel by 3.7%

Ukraine in January-February of current year has increased export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in physical terms by 3.7% compared to the same period last year - up to 1 billion 338,192 thousand tons. According to statistics released by the State customs service (GTS), for a specified period the export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in monetary terms decreased by 9.9% to $494,790 million Main export was carried out in Italy (24.9% of deliveries in money terms), Turkey (19.7 percent) and Saudi Arabia (7,59%). In addition, Ukraine for the first two months of the year imported 4,212 thousand tons of such products, which is 37.8% less than in January-February-2019. In monetary terms, imports decreased by 58.1 per cent to $1,766 million Imports were from Russia (100% supply). As reported, Ukraine in 2019 increased export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in volume terms by 12% compared to the year 2018 - up to 7 million 47,277 thousand tons, in monetary terms, exports of semi-finished products made of carbon steel decreased by 4.8% to us $2 billion 860,106 million Main export was carried out in Italy (31.87 percent of supply in money terms), Egypt (13,63%) and Turkey (8,41%).
