Ukraine intends to resume talks with the United States for the removal of duties on steel imposed in March last year on grounds of national security. As reported by the Deputy Minister of economy Taras Kachka, on the Trade and investment Council the U.S.-Ukraine the sides will discuss the issues of tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade and cooperation in the sector of digital services.

In may of that year, six countries - Argentina, Australia, Brazil, South Korea, Canada, and Mexico - have made their exclusion from the list of countries to which the applicable duties under section 232. Ukraine has also led talks with the White house, however, for several reasons, the negotiation process was postponed.
