gas Prices for Ukrainian industry from today increased by almost 20%. The minimum price for companies unless they have debt and buy more than 50 thousand cubic meters a month, will be 7 033,2 UAH per thousand cubic meters, including VAT and the cost of transportation.
In October minimum price of gas for industry was 5 878,8 UAH per thousand cubic meters.
"Change due to rising gas prices in the European market, where Ukraine imports gas. So, gas prices on European hubs with delivery in November are higher than the current by almost half," - said in Naftogaz.
Prices for imported gas will also affect the price of gas for the population.
Therefore subsequently gas prices for the population, and, consequently, tariffs for hot water and heating, also could increase.
October 1, 2015 enacted the Law of Ukraine "On natural gas market", which provides that the supply of natural gas is at prices that are freely determined between supplier and customer except in cases stipulated by this Law.
So, with the aim of ensuring the public interest in the operation of the natural gas market, on the subjects of natural gas market in exceptional cases and for a specified period may be imposed special obligations to the extent and on the conditions determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
